BABYLON 360º a bar and a viewpoint; it’s a panoramic oasis perched atop the tallest building in Portugal, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city while indulging in exquisite signature cocktails. Similar to what happens in several cities around the world, Lisbon also has its own rooftop bar, in what is certainly one of the most iconic viewpoints in Portugal, the Vasco da Gama Tower. The name, BABYLON 360º, is a reference to history, more precisely to the maritime voyage that took Vasco da Gama to India in 1498, but also to the 360-degree panoramic view and the natural vertical garden. In the eastern area of Lisbon, the sunset will never be the same again – and the nights are now more lively and fun.
Each cocktail has been carefully designed to narrate a story, always based on the Discovery of the Sea Route to India, after all it is this event that is also the basis of the construction of the tower, as part of Expo 98.It is not surprising that some of the cocktails contain ingredients that are very popular in India, such as turmeric and cardamom, chili peppers, and mango, in refreshing and critical, sweet and aromatic combinations that promise to surprise. The inspiration came from the reports of the voyages, as well as from what was said that sailors appreciated, even from the commercial exchanges that were generated and the range of ingredients that were gained, with emphasis on the spices. BABYLON 360º is unwaveringly determined to establish itself as a must-see and desired spot in Lisbon, exuding an aura of chic and trendiness. Along with an extensive and eclectic live music lineup, it offers vibrant soirées accompanied by the infectious rhythms of DJs, promising an unforgettable experience.
The Vasco da Gama Tower is open every day between 10:00 and 18:00, while the BABYLON bar is open until 00:00 (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and bank holidays close at 02:00).
